Happy Birthday to E
Today excitingly enough is my golden birthday. When I was about 6 my golden birthday was the most exciting thing I could imagine and I was quite disappointed that I'd have to wait over 20 years to have it. My brother, on the other hand, got to have his that year. I consoled myself thinking I would be an adult and be able to have a big party. You know what I'm doing tonight? I'm going to haul firewood, have a cider, watch the Twins get beat and go to bed. I'm very okay with that. I think I must be getting old.I also got in trouble because my mom sent me flowers and I didn't call to say thank you. It turns out that the people at the front desk decided not to tell me I had flowers. Luckily, my dad called to tell me to call my mom to say thank you for the flowers so I was able to stop back in at the office and pick them up for weekend enjoyment.
Gracie is less excited about this birthday thing because she got to go to the vet and get a shot today. She also got her butt drained and had air freshener shot up there. She was not amused.
ETA: I should also point out that the town of Mountain View decided that my birthday deserved a bigger celebration and so they had a parade for me. Color guard, fire trucks, they went all out. Clearly, I'm awesome.
