Twins Territory is expanding...
In my last post, I promised some real news. A few years ago, I visited the land of the awesome license plates and decided I needed to get me one of them. That opportunity has finally arrived. I'm quitting my job and moving here:A couple of weeks ago I flew out (or more accurately, I flew to Salt Lake City and drove a 120 miles) to the tiny town of Mountain View, Wyoming. For those of you who are more in tune with the geography of Oregon Trail, this is three miles from Fort Bridger. There I interviewed for a job. I was offered that position today. Unbelievably, it pays more than my current job and seems a hell of a lot more interesting (not to mention the part where they pick up the tab for my relocation). Also, Wyoming and mountains! My tentative start date is April 16. Which gives me about four weeks to pack up my stuff, put my house on the market, and get my ass to Wyoming.
This is a massive change and I was really torn about whether I wanted to make this move (I seriously have a list of pros and cons - there are more cons), but everything really seems to be in place for me to get everything that I've wanted for a long time. Time will tell if this is really a good thing but I need a change and the only way to do that is to take a risk. If it doesn't work out and I come back, I'll only appreciate this area more. So if anyone knows someone who'd like to buy a townhouse in Chaska, I can help them out.
