A Post!
So apparently it's been two weeks since last I was in here. Now most people would think that when there is a nasty blizzard outside, I would stay in my very confining cabin but no, here I am not sitting in my cabin. I ran through foot deep snow just to get to my car. But after running to the post office to get a mailbox set up, here I am at the library watching the snow blow all over hell and back. The joys of May in the mountains.Last weekend, I jumped in my car and drove a out to the Flaming Gorge Dam. I would post a picture but sadly, I don't have my computer here yet and I can't do it at the public library. Anyways, I just wanted to point out that the weather then was well into the 70s and quite nice. Also, you can drive 50 miles and see some really beautiful things. This weekend I was thinking about heading up into the Uintas, but I'm not sure I want to go up there until this snow has melted a bit. If we get 6 inches here, they got a foot or more in the mountains. And the road up there is not maintained.
My job is going well. I got paid this week. The check was much higher than my checks in Minnesota, so that was exciting. No state taxes and not having to pay for medical/dental insurance helps a lot.
My house is now officially empty. All of its contents are currently parked in a semi-trailer in my parents' pasture. I'm sure the mice and squirrels are having a grand old time. I need to find a house quickly.
